![]() In addition to ECW Original The Sandman and former WWE Superstar The Patriot, Adrenaline Championship Wrestling is proud to announce that the first ever African American to ever hold a World Heavyweight Championship and WWE Hall of Famer Ron Simmons has been added to the already stacked lineup for July 26. Simmons broke barriers in 1993 when he defeated Big Van Vader at the Baltimore Arena to capture the WCW World Heavyweight Championship, becoming the first African American in wrestling history to ever hold a World Championship. He would garner even greater fame in the tag-team ranks when he formed an alliance with current WWE broadcaster John Bradshaw Layfield to become the APA, a team that would go on to hold several WWE Tag Team Championships before retiring. In 2012, he would be inducted into the prestigious WWE Hall of Fame during a ceremony in Miami, FL during Wrestlemania 28 weekend. ACW's annual summer event is sure to be a scorcher with a wrestling legend like Simmons in the house. The question is, what are his plans when he makes his ACW debut on July 26th. The only way to find out is to be there LIVE on Saturday, July 26 at the OBI Building in Millersville, MD as ACW Presents: Broken Dreams. Tickets are available right here on www.adrenalinewrestling.com as well as www.eventbrite.com. Come see the fastest growing wrestling promotion in the state of Maryland live and in person.
