Desert Storm has championed the Black Wrestlers Matter BWM movement for several months now along with Sidney Porter and Doyle Day. He recently said on social media that ACW has kept them all away from “top tier talent”. While that really isn’t true, he can’t complain with being paired up with B.A., Mr. Ass and WWE Legend Billy Gunn. Storm asked for a higher profile match for his group and now he has it.
Black Wrestlers Matter have been at war with the Vampire Kindred since their inception. Doyle Day has been the most vocal member of the group and has cost Kindred in recent matches keeping him out of the ACW Championship hunt. This key match in the ACW rankings will also be in the confines of a steel cage and will decide a potential new #1 contender moving into 2016.
Friendships are also strained when it comes to the ACW Heavyweight Championship. New Champion Ruckus basically stole the title cashing in his briefcase last show with help from BLK OUT partner Robby Illuminati after the ladder match to earn a title shot anytime, anywhere. Now Ruckus will have to prove his championship win wasn’t a fluke.
The biggest feud currently burning through ACW is JD Smooth owning 2 consecutive pinfall victories over the longest reigning champion in our sport – ACW Light Heavyweight Champion – Diaz. Both encounters have been marred by outside interference from AC Wolfe and Vic Ramone. The steel cage should provide a way to decide who is truly the better man on Saturday night.
