From MiniBOSS to King of Maryland?

The 3rd Annual King of Maryland Tournament is under a month away and the opportunity for one to take their career to the next level is near. This year’s tournament could not be any more evenly matched. Every participant involved has had their share of defining moments in 2014. What better way to kick of the year than with 3 major wins in a single event at the first offering from ACW in 2015. A few weeks back, we made a case for Robbie Illuminati having a great chance to become the 3rd King of Maryland Winner. With all due respect to the South Phillionaire, the favorite in this tournament has to be the ACW Light Heavyweight Champion Diaz.

Let me ask you this: Who has had a more dominant 2014 than the ACW Light Heavyweight Champion? Better yet, who has had a more dominant 2013 or 2012 for that matter? The answer is no one. Challengers have come and gone over the last several years, but the one constant has been Diaz as Light Heavyweight Champion. Great competitors like BLK Jeez, Ruckus, Shane Strickland and many more have stepped up, only to be turned away over …. and over…. and over again. Diaz’ toughest opponent Robbie Illuminati tried his hand on 3 different occasions over the last year and nearly won the title on every occasion, but could not get the job done.  If that isn’t enough, Diaz defeated two opponents in last years King of Maryland Tournament. The only other two competitors that can say they defeated at least two opponents in last years tournament would be the tournament finalists, Prodigy and Skull.

Friday, March 13th at the King of Maryland Tournament in Millersville, MD, the smart money has to be on the miniBOSSto capture a crown to go along with his Light Heavyweight Championship.
