![]() In addition to ECW Original The Sandman and former WWE Superstar The Patriot, Adrenaline Championship Wrestling is proud to announce that the first ever African American to ever hold a World Heavyweight Championship and WWE Hall of Famer Ron Simmons has been added to the already stacked lineup for July 26. Simmons broke barriers in 1993 when he defeated Big Van Vader at the Baltimore Arena to capture the WCW World Heavyweight Championship, becoming the first African American in wrestling history to ever hold a World Championship. He would garner even greater fame in the tag-team ranks when he formed an alliance with current WWE broadcaster John Bradshaw Layfield to become the APA, a team that would go on to hold several WWE Tag Team Championships before retiring. In 2012, he would be inducted into the prestigious WWE Hall of Fame during a ceremony in Miami, FL during Wrestlemania 28 weekend. ACW's annual summer event is sure to be a scorcher with a wrestling legend like Simmons in the house. The question is, what are his plans when he makes his ACW debut on July 26th. The only way to find out is to be there LIVE on Saturday, July 26 at the OBI Building in Millersville, MD as ACW Presents: Broken Dreams. Tickets are available right here on www.adrenalinewrestling.com as well as www.eventbrite.com. Come see the fastest growing wrestling promotion in the state of Maryland live and in person. ![]() When ACW first came to Liberty High School back in November, we had set an attendance record for the highest attended ACW event in our history as 450 fans packed Liberty High School to witness an action packed card. Like the old saying goes, "records don't bend, they break." We are proud to announce the ACW has broken that record as 1000 fans packed Liberty High School to witness an action packed card featuring Jake "The Snake" Roberts, Tommy Dreamer face off against Shane Douglas, and Prodigy defeat Kindred, ending a year and a half long ACW Heavyweight Title reign. ACW would like to thank Liberty High School, Big Time Wrestling, and most importantly YOU, the wrestling fans of Carroll County. This event would not have been possible without each and every one of you. A return date to Liberty High School will be announced soon. This Saturday night will unquestionably be the biggest challenge that Andy Vineberg his group of Winners have faced since the loudmouth motivator has arrived in Adrenaline Championship Wrestling when they face veteran Bobby Starr, quite possibly the most improved wrestler in 2013 in Pat Anthony and 2014 WWE Hall of Fame Inductee Jake "The Snake" Roberts. With all the bad blood between Pat Anthony/Bobby Starr and The Winners over the past month in addition to the unpredictable nature of Jake Roberts, tensions are as high as ever going in to this match-up. The question on everyone's mind is how did we get to this point? Right now, we take a look. Assemble a team Since day one that Andy Vineberg arrived, he made his intentions clear. He was going to assemble a team of average wrestlers and turn them in to winners. He first found Rayburn, a newcomer to ACW at the time who was relatively "green." He then recruited Shaun Cannon, another young and hungry competitor who with a little guidance, could be a future star in the making. Needless to say, Vineberg needed to add someone with experience to make his master plan work. He found that person in Louis G Rich, an experienced wrestler who had been overlooked by ACW management in recent years. A situation that did not sit well with the self-proclaimed "Wrestler of the Millennium." Little did anyone know what Louis G Rich's frustration with his situation in ACW would do for The Winners. Make an immediate Impact Now that Vineberg had assembled a team, he needed his team to make an immediate impact. An impact that would be felt throughout ACW. The Winners went straight to the top (no pun intended) and immediately called out Chris Evans aka Ghozt tha Demented aka the owner of ACW. For those who dont know, Evans previously wrestled as Christopher Adonis and employed Louis G Rich in his stable known as the Money World Order. This is just speculation, but it is quite ironic that Evans was chosen as The Winners first target considering Louis G Rich's history with Evans and the mWo. Could this have been an act of revenge by Louis G Rich against Evans for protecting him over the years and receiving little to no recognition or title shots in return? We may never know the answer to that. What we do know is that taking out the owner of the company is quite a statement to make upon arriving in a wrestling company. Organize Chaos Within a few months, Evans lost a "Loser leaves ACW" match at Twas the Cage fight before Christmas and was gone from ACW. With the owner gone, The Winners were free to do what ever they pleased. They did just that, by coaxing Pat Anthony and Bob Starr into yet another "Loser leaves ACW" match at the very same event and came out victorious yet again. They would only step it up from there. After the conclusion of the Pretty Ugly vs The Hell Cats Tag Team Championship Cage Match, The Winners arrived proceeded to attack both teams and leave all 4 competitors laying on the ground. Vineberg then publicly announced his intention to go after the ACW Tag Team Championship. Little did Vineberg know, his actions had caught the attention of ACW Commissioner Mike Ratick, who heard about the impromptu match-up with Starr and Anthony while filming interviews for the upcoming King of Maryland event as Starr and Anthony were being escorted from the building. Commissioner Ratick did not take the news lightly and proceeded to fine Andy Vineberg $5,000. Andy did not seem to care as you can see below. At the King of Maryland Tournament, it was announced that Pat Anthony and Bob Starr would have a chance to win their jobs back at Chaos in Carroll County II in a 6 man Tag Team match against The Winners. It was also announced that Commissioner Ratick had found Anthony and Starr a tag team partner in JAKE THE SNAKE ROBERTS. Little did anyone know, Andy Vineberg had a childhood fear of Jake "The Snake" Roberts. However, judging by the statements below, Andy doesn't look like he will let his fear get in his team's way. Will Andy Vineberg's Winners manipulate their way to another victory and send Pat Anthony and Bob Starr home without jobs or will Vineberg's fear of Jake Roberts derail The Winners? The only way to find out is to be there live THIS SATURDAY NIGHT at Liberty High School in Eldersburg, MD as ACW presents: Chaos in Carroll County II. Tickets are available at www.btwtickets.com. Come see the very best in-ring action the state of Maryland has to offer. Adrenaline Championship Wrestling: FEEL THE RUSH!!!!
![]() In ACW, two champions stand out from the rest. Not the ACW Heavyweight Champion Kindred who has held the title for over a year now. Not the ACW Tag Team Champions Pretty Ugly who are no doubt the most successful tag team in Maryland Wrestling history. It is the ACW Light Heavyweight Champion D!@z and the ACW Womens Champion Kacee Carlisle, both of whom will have held their respective championships come May 17th for 720 days. Yes, I said 720 days. That is not combined, but the actual length of each of their title reigns. Thats 1440 days combined, just 20 days shy of 4 years combined. A 720 day title reign is a major accomplishment for both competitors, especially in an area loaded with great wrestling talent like the state of Maryland. For D!@Z, 720 days is quite an accomplishment for a Light Heavyweight in the state of Maryland, home of some of the best in the country. CM Punk had one of the longest WWE title reigns in history, but it wasn't as long as the MexiKING's. Dean Ambrose, the longest reigning WWE US Champion in history did not have a longer title reign than the current ACW Light Heavyweight Champion. Rob Van Dam's historic ECW TV Championship reign was awesome, but not as long as the reign currently in play with D!@z. It hasnt been an easy one either for the champion, facing great talent like Shane Strickland, Blk Jeez, Chris Wylde, 2014 King of Maryland Skull, and many others. Quite the successful title reign that is STILL going strong. For Kacee Carlisle, 720 days as a Women's Champion is historic. Trish Stratus' longest WWE Women's Championship reign was 16 months, no where near as long as Kacee Carlisle's. 2014 WWE Hall of Famer Lita's longest reign as a Women's Champion was a little over 3 month. Kacee Carlisle's current title reign is 8 times longer than that. If that's not enough, Kacee Carlisle had a 462 day reign as NWA World Women's Championship in during her reign as ACW Women's Champion that is STILL going strong today. Kacee has come from humble beginnings as a manager at the beginning of the millennium to being one of the best female competitors in Professional Wrestling today. All accomplishments aside, Saturday night in Eldersburg, MD could be the end of both title reigns when Kacee Carlisle teams up with D!@z to take on Renee Michelle and Robbie Illuminati. If Renee or Robbie pin either one of their opponents, BOTH championships will change hands. That means one championship could change hands WITHOUT the champion getting pinned or being made to submit. The champions advantage has been somewhat limited in this unique matchup. The young newcomer Renee Michelle has been a top challenger to the championship since she arrived in ACW, but has not fared well against the more experienced competitor in Kacee Carlisle. Robbie Illuminati on the other hand, has a history with the ACW Light Heavyweight Champion D!@z, as the MexiKING retained his title against Illuminati at Twas the Cage Fight before Christmas on a technicality due to interference by Pat Anthony who ironically had the very same thing happen to him a month before in a match with D!@z. As you can see below, "The South Philionaire" was more than heated with the champion. This past weekend, we saw what happens when a team cannot function together in the Prodigy/Kindred vs Pretty Ugly match-up in Goldsboro. Kacee Carlisle and D!@z MUST be able to function as a team in order for the both of them to continue their respective championship reigns past the 720 day mark. If that doesn't happen, you could see Renee Michelle and Robbie Illuminati make history by ending the longest title reigns in ACW history. Will the champions make milestones or will the challengers make history? The only way to find out is to be there Satuday, May 17 at Liberty High School as Adrenaline Championship Wrestling presents: Chaos in Carroll County II. Come see the longest reigning champions in Maryland Wrestling today in action.Tickets are available online at www.btwtickets.com. Adrenaline Championship Wrestling: FEEL THE RUSH!!!
![]() May 17th is fast approaching and there is a lot of exciting action to look forward to. The inaugural ACW Champion and ECW Original Shane Douglas returns to take on Tommy Dreamer in an Extreme Rules match, Jake "The Snake" Roberts makes his ACW debut in addition to appearances by Lita and The Patriot. While all mentioned above will provide some very exciting moments at Chaos in Carroll County II, when the night is over and the dust settles, I truly believe that match that will be on everyone's mind will be the ACW Championship match between the 2014 King of Maryland Prodigy and the current reigning and defending ACW Champion Kindred Ky'mari. Since the inaugural King of Maryland Tournament in 2013, Prodigy has been on a mission to not only win the ACW Championship, but to destroy anything and anyone in his path. By the end of 2013, he nearly won a triple threat cage match, ultimately coming up short. At the beginning of 2014, many within ACW felt that Prodigy would need to make a serious statement to receive another ACW Championship opportunity. At King of Maryland 2014, he did just that, running through Chris Wylde, The miniBOSS D!@z, and beating the 2013 King of Maryland Skull in the tournament final to win the 2014 crown. After the event was over, he immediately contacted ACW Officials for another championship opportunity. ACW officials granted that opportunity on the condition that he team with Kindred Ky'mari the week before his championship match in Goldsboro, MD to take on Pretty Ugly for the ACW Tag Team Championship. Almost immediately, the tension between the two was so thick you could cut it with a knife. Before the Tag Team Championship match took place in Goldsboro, Prodigy immediately demanded that the ACW Champion follow his lead in the upcoming championship match, something that sparked anger from the face of ACW. Prodigy wouldn't stop there, as almost immediately after the Tag Team Championship match started, he laid out the ACW Champion with a vicious forearm to the back of the head and joined Pretty Ugly in a 3 on 1 beat down of Kindred. The entire locker room emptied and an 8 man tag was announced, pitting Prodigy and Kindred on opposite teams. This is where Kindred would get the last laugh as he chokeslammed Prodigy to set up a victory in the 8 man tag when Doyle Day pinned the number 1 contender. There is no doubt that the 2014 King of Maryland will be looking for revenge against the reigning and defending ACW Heavyweight Champion next Saturday night in Eldersburg, MD. Will the ACW Heavyweight Champion have what it takes to stop THE KING of Maryland Wrestling? The only way to find out is to be there Satuday, May 17 at Liberty High School as Adrenaline Championship Wrestling presents: Chaos in Carroll County II. Tickets are available online at www.btwtickets.com. Dont miss the chance to see THE ONE AND ONLY King of Maryland face the ACW Champion. Adrenaline Championship Wrestling: FEEL THE RUSH. |
