24 hours before Broken Dreams, if you would have asked anyone who would have the biggest night at ACW Broken Dreams, Riot City's Most Wanted would have been mentioned, Pretty Ugly would have been mentioned, maybe even D!@z would have been mentioned. 24 hours later, the competitors that everyone are talking about are the group that just 6 months ago were called "greenhorns" by this very blog: The Winners.
Thats right, NO ONE had a bigger night than The Winners on July 26th That's because NO ONE has dominated a single event in the history of ACW like The Winner's did. Andy Vineberg's stable of athletes were flawless from beginning to end. They dropped one member of their group only to upgrade the vacant spot just moments later, defeated a hardcore icon straight up, and won the group's first championship without missing a beat. Momentum was clearly in their favor all night long. First, Andy Vineberg fired Shaun Cannon very unceremoniously. After Shaun Cannon failed to defeat Pat Anthony, The Winners proceeded to assault the Punk Rock All Star before firing him from the group. Just as we thought Pat Anthony would make the save, he ended up joining in on the assault before announcing to the world that he was joining The Winners. "I knew Cannon wouldn't get the job done," said Vineberg. "Like a pitcher with a dead arm, it was only a matter of time before I sent that loser's ass back to the minor leagues," he added. We attempted to get a statement from Pat Anthony, but have not heard back from him as of Monday. Later on in the evening, Louis G Rich faced The Sandman in what everyone thought would be a complete bloodbath. It would be anything but that, as Louis G RIch defeated the former ECW Champion in a little over 3 MINUTES. That's right, it only took 3 minutes for Louis G Rich to defeat one of the single toughest men in the history of Pro Wrestling.... in near record time. Let that sink in.... Then, there was the icing on the cake. Andy Vineberg led Rayburn and Pat Anthony down the aisle to face the most decorated tag team in Maryland Wrestling history in Pretty Ugly. It was a hard fought contest by both teams. In the end, a former employee of ACW attacked Jimmy Dream and assisted The Winners in capturing the ACW Tag Team Championship. The victory capped off a historic night for the group led by Andy Vineberg as they were absolutely flawless in all encounters throughout the night. Andy Vineberg and company made a statement at Broken Dreams. Winning just isn't enough anymore. The Winner's are looking to dominate ACW.
