ACW Fright Fest Results- 10/17 Upper Marlboro, MD
The ACW Fall Faithful Tour made its way to Six Flags America for its debut show at Gotham Arena – an
outdoor venue surrounded by massive roller coasters and thrill rides. Wrestling legends Scott Hall, The
Sandman, Nikolai Volkoff and Maria Kanellis-Bennett were all on hand to greet the ACW Faithful before
an event that would have major implications on the championship scene.
Match #1 The King of Maryland Wrestling Louis G Rich with Andy Vineberg vs. The Flyin’ Hawaiian –
Kekoa
Andy Vineberg immediately made friends with the fans at Six Flags by demanding silence and respect for
the King of Maryland Wrestling. After a few more insults on the fans, the ring announcer and anyone
else in earshot the match was started. Action immediately spilled to the outside of the ring with Rich
and Kekoa brawling in the opening moments of the bout.
Once back inside the ring Rich took advantage knocking Kekoa to the mat. As he climbed to the 2nd rope
he announced “I will rule” but his leap was met with a kick to the face. Rich recovered quickly though
and hit Kekoa with a facebuster which nearly won him the match.
As Kekoa recovered he got too close to the ropes and Andy Vineberg saw an opportunity and hooked
him from behind. The King attempted to take advantage and charged in but Kekoa broke free at the last
minute and Rich knocked Vineberg off the ring apron. The Flyin’ Hawaiin then used a modification of an
F5 into a roll up to get the hard fought victory.
The Winner Andy Vineberg had now seen The King drop yet another match and slapped Rich and left the
ringside area.
Winner: The Flyin’ Hawaiin Kekoa
ACW Women’s Championship
Kaycee Carlise (champion) vs. Tess Valentine
Tess Valentine proved she was game and slapped the champion as the match began. Not to say Kaycee
Carlise didn’t deserve it since she is a master of trash talking. Valentine put up a hell of a fight and at
times looked like she might be able to walk away with the belt. However a double armed DDT from the
champion ended those dreams after a terrific match. The champion continues her impressive reign but
her challenger showed why she is an up and coming star in her own right. These women are no “divas”.
They are both wrestlers and showed everyone why.
Winner and Still ACW Women’s Champion: Kaycee Carlisle
ACW Tag Team Championship
The Winners with Andy Vineberg (champions) vs. The WildCardz
In recent months the tag team title scene has been a wild ride to say the least. The WildCardz won the
championship originally at the Memorial Weekend Mayhem show this past May. Andy Vineberg’s
Winners captured the gold back in July at the Evolutionary War show and successfully defended them at
Broken Dreams in August over Riot City and the Cardz. However Eddie Page and Jason Radatz were not
directly defeated in that contest. This set up a battle for it all at Fright Fest.
This match was back and forth as expected until Eddie Page slingshot Rayburn towards Jason Radatz
who was able to get the big man off his feet for an incredible powerslam. After this feat of strength
Radatz was favoring his back and Paul Anthony attempted to hit him with one of the championship
belts. He missed and accidentally hit his partner Rayburn instead. Radatz took advantage with a
backslide on Anthony to get the 3 count.
Winners and New ACW Tag Team Champions – The WildCardz – Eddie Page and Jason Radatz
Following the historic match ring announcer Michael Delss announced the presence of what was
thought to be country music star Kenny Chesney. However this was all in fun as most fans in the state
know that despite his lookalike status to the country star Kevin Chesney is a veteran with a distinguished
career in the sport.
None of this mattered to Desert Storm, Sidney Porter and Doyle Day. The members of the controversial
“Black Wrestlers Matter” (BWM) movement made their way to ringside setting up a 3 on 1 battle.
Kindred then came down the aisle to make the odds a bit better but this free for all started as a 3 on 2
tag team match.
Black Wrestlers Matter vs. Kindred and Kevin Chesney
Kindred clotheslined all three members of the BWM matter movement, but the odds were still too much
to overcome until the familiar sounds of Enter Sandman ringed out through the PA system. The ECW
legend The Sandman came to the ring wielding the Singapore Cane. Desert Storm begged off claiming “I
am so sorry” but none of it mattered.
With the odds evened Kindred hit the F5 on Doyle Day and allowed The Sandman to get the pin and
victory in the six man tag team match.
Winners: Kindred, Kevin Chesney and The Sandman
With all 3 members of the BWM movement still in the ring, the Fright Fest invitational battle royal
began.
Fright Fest Battle Royal
Most of the ACW roster were entered into the invitational battle royal but in the end the last 3 standing
were Mad Dog Buzz Stryker, Adam Ugly and Michael’s Amaydo. Stryker and Ugly teamed up briefly to
eliminate Amaydo but then the big man decided it was Adam Ugly’s time to go and dumped him over
the top rope. A big win here for the legendary Mad Dog.
Winner: Mad Dog Buzz Stryker
The Main Event – Triple Threat Match
ACW Heavyweight Championship
Sicend (champion) vs. Diaz vs. Ruckus
The most anticipated match in recent history was held off appropriately until the end of the show.
Ruckus entered the ring first accompanied by BLKOUT partner Robby Illuminati. Light Heavyweight
Champion Diaz entered next decked out in full costume and sporting his title. Then the man with the 10
pounds of gold Sicend came out to begin the battle for the ACW Heavyweight Championship.
Triple threat matches are inherently unfair to the champion because one can lose the title without
getting defeated, so the pressure was all on Sicend in this bout with his 2 challenges having nothing to
lose.
Both Sicend and Diaz were able to connect on over the top rope dives on the other 2 during the match.
Ruckus put on a vintage high flying performance. Diaz proved once again why he is the longest reigning
title holder in all of wrestling. However this was to be a career defining night for Sicend. The champion
solidified his legacy catching Ruckus with the springboard cutter to get the three count to retain the
ACW Championship.
After the match all 3 opponents shook hands and celebrated their performances. This match wasn’t
about a feud, a storyline or anything like that. No one from the locker room interfered to ruin things out
of respect for the match. It was just 3 of the best wrestlers in the state of Maryland giving the ACW
Faithful everything they had.
Winner and Still ACW Heavyweight Champion: Sicend.
